PREFACE TO THE SECOND EDITIONThe first edition of this book was published five years ago. Since that time various topics of the Turkish law changed in considerable amount, spe cially in the fıeld of Family law concerning "divorce by mutual agreement of the parties" was accepted. in the Law of Obligations matters on "moral damage" were also modifıed.A great deal of new material has been added both to bring the subjects treated to update including topics not handled in the fırst edition. For example, the division of Branches of Law into Public and Private Law, the historical development of Continental Law vis a vis Anglo-American law, the classifıcation of Movable and Immovable property together with the Sub stantive and Procedural law, the problem of Culpa in Contrahendo, Absolute liability and different aspects of Proceedings, Legal profession were inserted in the respected areas.
