Some fifteen years ago, I first visited Turkey in the springtime. The exiting variety of trees and shrubs, the beautiful countryside and the welcoming warmth of the people who were my hosts and guides enticed me to return again and again. This book is my response, for I want to share the pleasure of learning more about the trees which shape the landscape.
