This is a completely revised and enlarged edition of A Turkish-English Dictionary by H.C. Hony and Fahir İz with all entries (headwords, affixes, and abbreviations) set out according to a uinified, strictly alphabetical order. Its scope has been altered by the omission of many Arabic and Persian loanwords no longer widely used and the inclusion of many loanwords (mainly in the field of science) from western European languages, especially where their Turkish forms are not immediately recognizable to English-speaking readers.
